A digital, young professional (18-25) focused retail investment advisory and brokerage system. The service features an innovative advisor VUI, in the form of an expert system incorporating natural language processing, visual interaction and robo-advisory personification. This advisor helps to alter pre-existing cognitive perceptions of investing, define terms and automate the due diligence process.
CHALLENGE:
Design a more inclusive form of investment for a previously underserviced demographic. A variety of solutions mitigating risk and better personalising the user experience to individual financial needs were considered. Care had to be taken to ensure user testing played an integral part in the design process, to inform an empathic service encouraging desired financial behaviors.
  
SOLUTION:
Each stage of the double diamond process was thoroughly explored. Discovery spanned primary and secondary research, from literature review to workshops. Definition culminated in a synthesis of research findings and clear mapping of the problem area. A shared UX vision was then ideated alongside end users, with low fidelity wireframes A/B tested to reach the most inclusive solution. For the purpose of MVP validation, 6 primary tasks were prototyped and iteratively tested with end users alongside quantitative evaluation against hard constraints gleaned earlier from research. Final inclusive design provisions leverage gamification, personification, trust-building measures and data visualization to provide a compelling and inclusive user experience
